Mission and Shared Beliefs
West Shore Unified is a grassroots movement within our community that is organized to ensure that students continue to receive a rich, complete, and high-quality education that prepares them to live a life of their choosing.

We will support the West Shore School District by:

Educating the community about current district matters

Advocating for pro-public education policies, funding, and action at the state and local level

Acting collectively to ensure that school elected officials represent the interests of the community with transparency

Strong public schools are foundational to democracy.

The entire community benefits from strong public schools.

Elected officials should be accountable to their constituents rather than special interests or political organizations, and should act with transparency.

Religious preferences should be respected, but privately held.

All students and members of a school community should feel welcome, safe, and supported.

Schools should be adequately funded and managed in a fiscally responsible way.

School board directors should respect policy, process, and the law.
